There are 3 ways that one can set up a gate to close:
1. Standard mode – In this mode one needs to activate the gate with a device that will send a trigger to the motor which will then open. This can be by means of a remote or a reader of sorts but generally a remote.

The gate wont close on its own, it requires another trigger to activate the boom or gate to close.

In this mode the only way that the gate will close on a vehicle is if the gate is activated while there is a vehicle in the way.

2. Condominium mode – In this mode one can set a timer on the gate or barrier that it will automatically close after 15sec 30 sec or even a minute or whatever time one determines.

3. Beams – these are installed at the gate or at the barrier. Should a vehicle block the beams a trigger is sent to the control card to say that there is something in its path and should not close.
